Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to start and finish my submission in one session?
No. You can start your submission and come back to finish it anytime before the deadline September 27 at 5:00 pm PDT. We highly recommend completing your entry/entries well ahead of this deadline.
Can I still submit after the September 20 "early bird" registration deadline?
Yes. Please note that prices go up 15% after 5:00 pm PDT on September 20.
Can I submit out-of-state and/or out-of-country projects?
Yes, just make sure the projects were completed or worked on after November 2012 (5-year period).
Does it matter what browser I use?
No, but accessing the portal using Google Chrome may work best, as some have found Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox to be problematic.

What if I want to make changes to my entry after I have completed my submission?
You can enter the system at any time to edit or update your submission before the deadline on September 27. The system will automatically close at 5:00 pm PDT. If there are issues with your entry, you will be contacted a few days after the submittal deadline.
How will I know my submission has been received?
Upon submitting your entry, you will receive a confirmation e-mail message containing your submission details.
What should I do if I did not receive a confirmation e-mail containing my submission details?
First, check your junk mail folder – the most likely problem is that your spam filter sent the e-mail from firstname.lastname@example.org to your junk mail. You should change your account settings to accept future e-mails from us. If it did not go into your junk mail folder, please contact Cassie Blair for assistance.
Why can't I change my Project Name after the Registration Round?
Unfortunately, our current system does not allow for this to be changed. In order to accurately process your submission, please choose a project name that will easily be identified in in both the Registration and Submissions rounds. Use this project name consistently throughout the submittal, including all file names. This name will be referenced in any future publications, press releases and the like in reference to this submittal.
What if I already finalized my submission (completed both Registration and Submission rounds) and need to make a change due to an entry or upload error?
Please contact Cassie Blair immediately. We will be in touch to help resolve any errors before launching our Online Gallery.
When will the 2017 Online Gallery launch?
Sometime before October 6, 2017. All projects will be listed anonymously until the winners are announced at the November 13 Live Event.
Where I can purchase tickets to this year's Live Event?
As a submitter, you'll receive one (1) complimentary ticket per entry and further information will be sent to you after you register your entry. For your guests, please purchase tickets directly on the Benaroya Hall site or visit their Box Office in-person.
